Barbara Stauffacher Solomon
Barbara Stauffacher Solomon was a pioneering graphic designer most known for her work in the 60s and 70s. She created designs that transformed interiors of entire buildings. These works have been coined as “supergraphics”. Supergraphics are recognized by their oversized scale, bold colors, and strong geometric forms.
Laying It All Out
While designing this book I took a minimalist approach to allow Barbara’s work to speak for itself. I focused heavily on using white space to guide the reader through the page. Like Barbara, I allowed scale to impact the lay out of my pages.
