About Live In Paris
In 1972 Lou Reed was invited to Paris to record a TV special the Bataclan Club in Paris. By coincidence Reed’s former bandmates John Cale and Nico were in Paris at the time. This resulted in The Velvets being reformed for one magical night.
Going Old School
My artwork for the Live In Paris vinyl is inspired by the print making techniques of the 1970s. I created multiple tape transfers of each musicians face and melded them together through collage to create an experimental portrait that pays homage to the bands unique sound.
